VHCS Multiple Domains

You can have multiple domains in one account. To add domains, you use the VHCS control panel. Click on Manage Domains and then Add Alias from the submenu. The control panel calls it an ‘alias’, but it is really a fully independent domain.

Provide the domain name as follows:

yournewdomain.com

The root folder for this domain will appear as followes:

/primarydomain.com/[directory mount point]

The default is:

/primarydomain.com/yournewdomain_com

There is a slight delay while your new domain is setup and the directories are created. The domain overview screen may initially say ‘waiting to be added’. Wait a minute or so and refresh and it should show as active.

The domain aliases also work. You still need to specify a mount point, but if you wait a couple minutes, any requests to that domain will start getting forwarded to the URL you provided.

NOTICE: This does not add DNS for that domain, You need to email support@planetargon.com to have them update dns and add the new domain.
